Becca Lou The Cow That Couldn’t Moo by Kenny Hess is a fun and beautifully written story about a young cow who is different from the others. After exploration and investigation, she discovers that love and acceptance are all that matters. As someone who supports hundreds of youth each year in “finding themselves,” this book is a playful way to learn about finding, accepting, and embracing oneself, with the added bonus of exquisite artistry, consistent manners and poetic, prosodic melody. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is looking to entertain and engage children while teaching them important values and lessons at the same time.

Alex Bruce, Author of Finding Yourself Again: Making the Journey Back to
You

This is a charming tale of how Becca Lou’s quest to learn how to moo teaches us that while she could not Moo, there were so many other things that she could do and that ultimately, she finds what she always wanted...Happiness. This is an innocently clever story with a wonderful message of learning to look for the good in everything you do.

I have worked in early childhood development for the last 7 years and I have to say, I absolutely love this book! Becca Lou The Cow That Couldn't Moo is a very relatable collection of characters who try their best to help a friend in need. The payoff is worth every inch of the Journey. The ending is not what I expected but happiness wins and that's always the best ending.

I loved the beautiful characters and how they helped Becca learn so many different things. Even though they could not help her Moo they taught her how to do many other things. The artwork is perfect! It highlights every single mood of this incredibly cute story. Well done!

Littles LOVE critters, and they’ll especially love the story of Becca Lou, the cow who doesn’t let her missing moo get in the way of finding true happiness.
